Board & Batten Slatted Composite Cladding Board

A Premium Batten Finish With Visual Depth
Subtle two-tone colouring and a brushed surface treatment add depth and variation across the facade. The slatted batten profile delivers a distinctive, high-quality finish that enhances architectural detail without appearing uniform or flat.

Long-Lasting Colour With Easy-Clean Protection
Designed for exposed facades, Board & Batten Slatted cladding features a capped composite surface engineered to resist colour fade caused by UV exposure and weathering. This helps maintain a consistent, well-defined finish over time.

Low Maintenance Without Compromise
The capped composite surface provides an added layer of protection against the elements, limiting moisture interaction and surface wear. This built-in protection reduces the need for ongoing upkeep, making the cladding a practical long-term alternative to timber.

Designed For Efficient, Straightforward Installation
A wider board format offers increased coverage per board, reducing the total number required across the elevation. This helps streamline installation while remaining compatible with NeoTimber® trims and accessories for clean, consistent detailing.
Suitable for both vertical and horizontal facade applications across residential and commercial buildings, this system creates clean lines, depth, and shadow for a contemporary architectural finish. It delivers the natural look of timber while offering long-term performance, backed by a 25-year residential and 10-year commercial warranty. Engineered to withstand moisture, temperature changes, and external conditions, it ensures reliable durability. Fully compatible with NeoTimber® trims and accessories, it provides a cohesive and refined finish.
NeoTimber® Board & Batten Slatted composite cladding makes a bold architectural statement with its structured, batten-style profile. The design introduces depth and texture to facades, making it ideal for modern homes, garden rooms, extensions, and mixed-material elevations where visual impact is key. It allows for strong character and definition without the need for complex detailing or multiple materials.
Built for performance as well as style, the capped composite construction maintains a consistent appearance over time, reducing the effects of weathering while keeping maintenance to a minimum. This makes it a practical solution for projects where durability and ease of upkeep are essential.
Whether used across an entire facade or to highlight specific features, Board & Batten Slatted cladding offers a versatile balance of modern design and dependable performance. Designed to integrate seamlessly with the wider NeoTimber® system, it supports cohesive and well-considered exterior schemes.
Sustainability is a key part of our approach. The wood fibres used in the Slatted cladding range are FSC® 100% certified, ensuring responsible sourcing, while the inclusion of recycled plastics helps to reduce environmental impact.

FAQs
Get quick answers to the most common questions.
Do NeoTimber® Slatted Cladding boards fade over time?
Is the Slatted Cladding range stain-resistant?
What warranty is included with the Slatted range?
Can NeoTimber® slatted cladding be installed vertically?
How do you install composite cladding?
Does composite cladding expand and contract?
Yes, composite cladding naturally expands and contracts slightly with temperature changes. This is a normal material characteristic and is accounted for in the product design. Allowing the correct spacing during installation helps accommodate this movement and ensures long-term stability and appearance, as detailed in the NeoTimber® installation guide.
Can composite cladding be painted?
No, painting or staining is not recommended. The capped composite surface is engineered to retain its colour and finish over time without the need for additional treatments. Paints and stains will not bond effectively to the material and may result in an uneven or short-lived finish.
How do I clean NeoTimber® composite cladding?
NeoTimber® composite cladding is low maintenance and easy to clean. For routine cleaning, simply use warm water, a mild detergent, and a soft-bristled brush to remove dirt and debris. For more stubborn build-up, a pressure washer can be used at up to 3100 psi, ensuring a fan nozzle is fitted and a minimum distance of 300mm is maintained to avoid surface damage. For deeper cleaning, a specialist composite cleaner such as Owatrol Compo-Clean can be used in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines.
Is the Slatted cladding range fire-rated?
Yes, the Board & Batten Slatted composite cladding range is fire-rated and classified as Class D in accordance with EN 13501-1. This level of performance makes it suitable for certain low-rise residential and commercial applications, provided installation meets relevant building regulations. As with any external cladding, suitability should be assessed based on project-specific requirements, including building height, intended use, and current regulatory guidance.
